Granada Hotels? - 05/05/10 11:50 AM

Looking for a great place to stay in Granada for 2 nights in June. Looks like there are a lot of options in the $100 range or under.

Prefer someplace that is somewhat modern or updated.

The hotel doesn't need to be super close to anything but I don't want anything that's out of town either.

Has anyone stayed somewhere they'd recommend in Granada?

The Alhambra Palace hotel.
I've stayed there on 4 seperate occasions, easy walk to Alhambra, Downhill to town. Can catch bus back up.

You might have read my 2008 review of the 1-star, totally renovated and modern, Hotel Carlos V located on the edge of the Realejo neighborhood and at the end (past, in fact) of the long tapas-bar-filled pedestrian street of Calle Navas. It's a rooftop hotel which once was a "hostal" but now have key-card doors, Wi-Fi, and a common-space outdoor terrace with nice mountain and valley views of the city. Few tourists in this area walking around.
