Thursday Nights Out In Madrid (MM gatherings)

Hey all,
I just had an idea: each week if you want to go out in Madrid on a Thursday, just say so on this topic and we can arrange a place to meet!

Well, i am going out tonight, with some friends, and are going to dance salsa at Randall.

Yes, if you like this kind of music. But, itseems that another person in the group prefers O'Zona, so we will go there about 12 PM (also a salsa disco).

How about a bi-weekly (or monthly) gathering for all MadridMan Madrileños that can include kids? Hubby, our 14 month old doodlebug and I will be in Madrid August 19th, staying for a year. It would be nice to be able to hang out with other MM aficionados. We can discuss him and never ever ever post our deep psychoanalyses of his relationship to Madrid!

I will be in Madrid around the 26th of August and would enjoy having some tapas or beverages with some of the people here in the group, which I find extremely helpful for my ingorance in Spanish knowledge! Keep on posting so I can follow what is happening.

Time: 10:30pm.

Tickets are almost free if you get them from Forocio (at STA travel, Plaza de Sol) beforehand.

What is Palacio Gaviria ?

Aha. Palacia Gravia (name might be wrong) is a nightclub. It was an old palace building and is situated between Sol and Opera.

All on one floor, it has three dance areas and three bars plus lots of space to hang out and talk.

The dance floors are techno/dance spanish pop and spanish couply type dances.

And I *like* it, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.

Night-club's meaning would be ambiguous, but Club (when speaking of somewhere you go at night to have fun) use to be understood (not always) as 'whorehouse'.
