Cyber Cafes (Madrid)

Cyber Cafes (Madrid) - 05/18/01 03:51 AM

My wife and I are in Madrid for a week this coming July. The only way that I can take a week away from the office is effectively to take my office with me. Sad but at least we get away!

I have a Spanish mobile telephone but need to keep in touch by e-mail at least twice a day. Can somebody recommend a Cyber Cafe or other e-mail facility? We are staying just off the Plaza Mayor so that neighbourhood is preferred.

On a security point, ideally I will be taking my laptop which is almost certainly going to be too big for the bedroom safe (but maybe not - we'll see). Any suggestions?

Hi Banter-

There are several and you should have no problem. The one I used in February is just off the Gran Via about a block east(I think)of Plaza Espaņa, open 'till 1:00 am, cost @300 pesetas/hora. Prices and hours posted in many other "cafe" windows were similar.
