Going to Madrid in March - any photo requests?

Going to Madrid in March - any photo requests? - 01/29/01 10:54 PM

I will have a few days on my hands in Madrid this March. I will also have my digital camera in my hands.

I do not claim to be a good photographer - but I make up for it in volume (see my pics at: http://members2.clubphoto.com/jim189376/

If you give me good enough directions - and I can find the landmark - I will be willing to take some pictures and e-mail them to you.

I will be concentrating my time in 'old' Madrid.

How about the old plaza and area around Lavapies? With all the cobblestone streets and older buildings it's beautiful.

The outside view of Hostal Martin would be interesting - only internal pics on their web site. It's on C. Atocha nr. Anton Martin Metro.

What about plates of food with info on where they were eaten?

I looked at your pics - they are wonderful and bring back lots of memories.

Thanks

jaimemiguel:
I looked at some of your stuff. Some heavy editing would enhance interest.

Cantabene,
meow!

I guess that means you don't want any pictures?

Being nosey, I quite like the vast amount of pics!! I suppose some captions on the ones of places could help - but I still like them.

Can you tell me, jaimemiguel, when you took the pictures in the museum(s), did you do so without flash? Were you 'allowed' to take them, or did you just do it when no-one was looking? I only ask, because when I was in the Prado last year, I was dying to take a picture of one particular painting, but didn't dare.

PS don't forget the pic of Hostal Martin/Cervelo, I'm really interested!

Thanks

Jo-Anne,

All of my Prado pictures were flash-less due to the museum's rules.

I'll try to get your hostal pics and post them somewhere that doesn't offend anybody.

Good question, Jo-Anne!! Jaimemiguel was going to pick up a couple things for me too and I'd forgotten he was going last month. Hmmm... I'll have to find him.

On the photo topic, he always has excellent, real life and very clear photos of his Spain trips. Can't wait to see the new ones.

Hi folks,
the trip was a near bust - I'll try to write a post this weekend. Anyway, I have posted several pics of the Prado and a fun little bar called Cerveceria Cervantes at Cervantes and the Prado at Prado 1 and Prado 2 . Be warned that most are about 100K in size. Also be warned that you are not allowed to use flash at the Prado, so they tend to be a little blurred.

Jo-Anne, I tried to concentrate on food pictures for you - they are concentrated in the second URL.

Sorry to re-open this old thread, but I am moving my photos from clubphoto to webshots so I corrected the links in the previous post.
