I am planning a visit to Madrid in June and am concerned about not meeting people!! someone please advise me on what to do!!!!!

Well Emma, hanging out on this board is probably a good start. You'd be amazed how you could link up with someone who will be there the same time, share similar interests or you might even be put in touch with people who have friends in Spain.

Hi Emma, I too am travelling to Madrid in June, and on my own.
It will be my first 'proper' visit to Spain, and even after just 2 days of reading various posts on this message board, can advise that I feel I know loads more info now.
The guided tapas walks sound good for meeting people, and I will certainly be participating in one of these.
