Atocha jungle? when?

When did they build/grow that tropical rain forest inside the Atocha station? Last time I was there was in '94.

Miss Madrid I loved your site too and your story

I know the Atocha train station botanical garden was there when I first visited during the spring of '95. I love visiting that place!! It's humid, and calms, and so out of the ordinary for Madrid.

I was studying in Madrid in 1992 and have a picture of myself standing in the "Atocha Rain Forest" from that trip. That may have been the beginning and then more was added, but they at least had the foliage in 1992 (June).
