FUENTES geneaology in Espana - 03/30/04 10:06 PM

Hello. I know this is random, but I will be visiting Spain for about a month this summer and would like to do some geneaological research on my family. The surname I'm looking for is Fuentes, believed to be from Central Spain. If anyone has any info, would love to hear from you. Thanks!! slimkid2@hotmail.com

A very popular name in Spain.. During 1976 visiting with friends in Sequeros, near Salamanca there was a family of Martin Fuentes , it was Martin, his wife and son and daughter..They were farmers, as most in Sequeros were doing at that time..Martin also had the best bodega and vino tinto in all of Sequeros.. At that time, most of the young people were planning to study at Salamanca, That could be a good starting point..Best of luck to you, I hope you find what you are looking for !!!

WHAT ABOUT MADRIGAL AND ARELLANO???

DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY HISTORY???

I UNDERSTAND THAT THE ARELLANOS, WERE PREDOMINANTLY, DOCTORS, AND TEACHERS, THINGS OF THAT SORT.

Amigos,

A good place to start is the Anillo de Genealogía Hispana: here is their website.

They have several great sites and Boards where all the members talk about is genealogy.

Buena Suerte,
Carmen
