I think the boys will do much better this year! I, and my daughter, were proudly wearing our Barca jersey out and about today and got quite a few thumbs up!

Okay, Toddy. What's the Barca bet you have in mind? Points behind Real Madrid in the final table? :p Barca will look much better if they get Jimmy Floyd from Chelsea but Real will be tough to beat if they focus a bit more on the league this year. Personally, I'd like to see Valencia or La Coruna be on top.

When it comes to football, the only team worth getting excited about plays its home games in Valladolid. ¡Aupa Puleca! ¡Aupa Puclea!

Toddy if your wifes is from Burgos, how can you possibly support Barça? The only Castillian team in the first division is Real Valladolid. Racing Santander is back in the first division, so support for them might be reasonable for a Burgulesa, but for Barça never!

The fact that Athlétic wins games at all with (until VERY recently) a home-grown Basque-only talent pool is amazing...and they've won their share of matches against the "second-best-Spanish-team-money-can-buy", toddy, thank you very much.

It's really too bad that Barça spends all that money and only gets (recently) second- and third-place finishes (behind Dépor and RM). At least Real Madrid can buy a Copa or two (or three or four...).
