Hispanic Society NYC - 08/05/02 09:36 AM

Just wanted everyone to know about an amazing museum here in New York which celebrates Spain and Portugal. It is not so publicized here in NY, yet it is a beautiful museum. Hispanic Society is on 155th Street and Broadway. My favorite permanent exhibit is the Regions of Spain. Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida is the artist who was comissioned to paint these regions...it is in a very large gallery and it truly celebrates the variety and uniqueness of Spain. When you are in NY, PLEASE come and see this museum ( especially Sorolla's depiction of Spain). You will love it! smile

Wow,
that's so cool!
I'm going to check it out this weekend if I have time.
