... of patrimony of the humanity by UNESCO. Vs who?? ...Of course.. Italy smile they include the lovely Toscana landscape and some etruscs tombs.

Well said, Fernando. To me, and this is my personal opinion only, if you want to see beautiful sights from the Renaissance, Italy wins hands down. The Bernini fountains scattered all over Roma are without equal.

But...if you want to see beautiful sights from the Romanesque period, Spain is without equal!

In my humble, personal opinion.

Librera, I would really like to go to Italy sometime in the near future. Some of its cities are (according to friends and relatives) magnificent.

It is also true that Spain has a lot of unequalled places. In some of our cities you may go around walking as if you were in a city four centuries ago (see Santiago de Compostela, Salamanca, Segovia,...).

Yes, Fenando, you will fall in love with Italy! It will remind you so much of Spain. But, to me, and in my opinion only, I still prefer Spain. But, at the same time, I have to admit that Italy is a very close second! laugh
