There will be an interesting conference - Memory and Identity: Borders and Nation in the Cultures of Spain this week in Columbus, Ohio at OSU. It is free to all and the movies are at the Arena Grand Theater.

I think that the Oscar winner director Fernando Trueba will take part in the conference.

He did and the conference was excellent. Three films directed by Trueba were shown and he was present to introduce the films and to speak about them after each showing. It was interesting to hear his responses to questions from the audience.

It was also interesting to ponder the future of the various cultures, languages and identities within Spain as well as Spain's political future as a whole.
