It seems the "i am not a tourist" exhibition is going to include "MadridMan.com" in their media partners list for the May 6th event - in exchange for my promotion of the event. Hey, we were doing that already! wink

hahahaha yes so it will be good thus. There is lots of Americans in Europe that do not know how to get together or a place to exchange.

Just an update: I did go to the "I am not a Tourist" fair last Friday. It was my impression that the fair was geared more towards those "just off the boat" rather than those whom have been here for a few years. I'm referring, here, to the exhibitors like banking, car rental services, health insurance, law firms, real estate, and ex-pat clubs. There were also workshops for yoga, wine tasting, investing, and speed-dating but I didn't attend any of those.

For me, a resident of 5+ years now, I spent all of 10 minutes there (but maybe only 5 since I did use the restroom too). But for new-arrivals, I'm sure it could/would be very useful.

thanks for reporting back, yes I had that impression too a few years back here in Paris. Its sort like a newcomers get together. But its now a yearly event and other American associations participate in these events too. Maybe to get new members?....
