Fleamarkets in Madrid besides El Rastro - 06/01/06 04:24 PM

Are there any other flea markets in Madrid besides El Rastro? I won't be there on a Saturday OR a Sunday (stupid planning on my part) and I LOVE flea markets. Please help me find some that are held Monday thru Wednesday.

thank you!!!

None, as far as I know.

But if you like antiques, and not only valuable ones, but old things, too, go to the Rastro area (between Ribera de Curtidores and calle Toledo) any day because there are many shops where you can find them. Of course, the atmosphere is different from a Sunday, but can be interesting, too.

That really sux. I'm mostly looking for vintage clothing and the like. Do they have that in the Rastro area? or is there another area that is known for it's vintage shops?

Everything is in the Rastro! smile

For vintage clothing, I can provide you two places:
- Underground @ calle Mira el Rio Baja, 14
- 7 Mundos @ calle Carnero, 10

If you are interested in military clothes, there are some shops in the area, too. Just walk around those streets and you will probably find more stores of your interest. It is not very big, limited by Ribera de Curtidores (East), calle Toledo (W), Ronda de Toledo (S), and Plaza de Cascorro (N).
