madrid antique doll shops - 04/29/05 12:05 PM
My Husband and I will soon be visiting Madrid for the first time.
I am an antique doll collector and would love to visit some doll shops. Shops can be old dolls or new dolls.
Anyone have any addresses for me?
Thanks!

Welcome to our ALL SPAIN Message Board, pkt!
Say everyone, would Madrid's El Rastro be a good place to find antique dolls or would pkt only find junk dolls?
Good luck! Saludos, MadridMan

I have read of El Rastro and plan to visit our first day in Madrid. Hubby and I will be in Madrid for two weeks. I've rented an apartment and am now taking Spanish classes to prepare for our visit.
I do have a love of dolls and wish to visit doll shops. I do hope others will be able to point me in the correct direction!

I saw a shop in Plaza de Sol that sold lots of dolls in regional costumes.

Hello!
No luck on finding antique doll shops in Madrid. I will shop el Rastro and keep my eyes open.
I see in several of the guide books that there are shops selling tourist dolls.
Those I will take home to the grand children!
