Las Rozas? Factory Outlet Translation and Transportation? - 05/06/02 07:18 AM

Hey guys,

i seem to having some problems accessing the "shopping" forum so I have to ask my question here.

ANyway.... a couple of really helpful people at the "shopping" forum answered my question about factory outlets in madrid. Apparently, there is a place not far from Madrid called "Las Rozas Village" where they sell stuff at a discounted prices. The thing is, I know absolutely nuts about Madrid (maiden trip in June!! :p ), what more Las Rozas.
Soooo....i really need help in terms of transport to Las Rozas..how, where, when...

Also, I need to ask a HUGE favour from all the spainish-speaking people out there...could you go help translate a few stuff at Factory.es for me? I'm getting a headache trying to figure out what the website is saying...I would like to know where is Getafe and is the Las Rozas branch in the same as Las Rozas village? (sounds like a stupid question, but I'm just making sure.. smile )

Thanks to all in advance!!!

Shopping-crazy,
Paddy

Paddy,

For "The Village" go to:

www.valueretail.com/madrid.html

It takes 20 to 30 minutes to get there. No subway, so if you are going to use the bus you must take either number 625or 628 at the Moncloa Bus Station (commonly known as 'El intercambiador de Moncloa').

Let me know if you need directions on how to get there by car.

Hello

Las Rozas was the first Factory in Madrid, later they opened another at Getafe(this one is far from the town of getafe).

For Las Rozas, it shows an small map where the nearest cercanias station is marked 'El Pinar', i don't know the real distance but i'll be about 10 to 15 min walking. The station is in one side of the A6/N VI freeway to La Coruņa and Factory is located in the oder side. This should be the easiest way to get there. You have two lines of Cercanias trains
that you can take at Atocha cercanias station.(metro atocha-renfe)
http://www.renfe.es/empresa/cercanias/cercanias_madrid_horarios.html

Also there is bus number 622 that you can take at Moncloa bus station (metro moncloa).

For Factory Getafe, there is only bus 427 that you can take at metro Legazpi. This is 3km closer to the center of Madrid than Factory Las Rozas, but hasn't any cercanias station.

You can get more info about those bus lines at http://www.ctm-madrid.es
