Zara Tokyo - 04/19/02 10:59 AM

Hey, I'm bored so I just thought I'd mention that I was at some grand opening or something for Zara in Tokyo. I just happened to run into two Spanish guys with Zara bags and almost thought nothing of it. Then it hit me...wait, there's no Zara here. I had to ask. I went to check it out and I swear, there was the largest crowd of Spanish people I've ever seen outside of Spain. They were all staring at the building; it had lights that changed colors every few seconds or so. Just thought I'd share.

Spaniards in Tokyo? Presumably working/living there, right? Not tourists. Wow! Glad to hear Zara is around the world!

Just thinking how someone on the Starbucks thread reminded us Americans that we don't feel invaded when Spanish businesses expand globally...we do love to see Zara's popping up and I'm sure the Japanese girls love the styling.
