Tax return - 03/13/02 02:37 PM

I was informed today by a friend that I might be able to get a tax return at the Barajas airport. He said that if I purchase clothes or other items I will automatically pay taxes, but he said I just need to fill out a form at the airport and I will get my taxes back. Did someone go through this process? Where can I find this form?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Try doing a search, this topic has been fully discussed before. Main things to remember- you must purchase over a certain amount in one store (used to be 15.000 pts before the Euro), you must have the store fill out a tax refund form and it requires you to have your passport with you, take the form along with the goods to the last airport you will be at in the EU to get a stamp (from a tax refund booth/window) and then mail the forms in. You must be a non-EU resident to qualify.
