buying a small Pork Tenderloin roasting joint - 05/09/11 07:29 AM

Hi,

If I want to find a small Pork Tenderloin joint for roasting/pot roasting what should I look for or ask the butcher for please?

Is it something like de lomo de cerdo?

thanks for any help or advice...

Isn't the pork tenderloin joint called "Codillo"? Or is that the beef joint?

UPDATE: My "resident Spaniard" confirms that Codillo is part of the pork leg - but not sure which part exactly. Says this is most often used in stews.

codillo is the joint alright or ankle.Nothing to do with tenderloin is lomo de cerdo or they use solomillo when smaller pieces at the very end more tender.
well my family is into that wholesale business in Madrid ::)
