Two 21 year olds will be in Barcelona Jan. 5-7. Is there anything we won't want to miss during this holiday time or should watch out for? Will it be hard to find lodging or restaurants open? Any recommendations on hostels?

is a good site to find a hostal. When I arrived in Barcelona I stayed at the Hotel Balmes (www.derbyhotels.es) but it was expensive.

There's a place called Hostal Neutral which I walk by to go to work which looks good.
