I am travelling to Madrid on a budget with my father in law. I'm looking at Hostal Armesto because I think it might suit the "older crowd". Has anyone been there who can give some feedback?

Thanks to you, I now know about Hostal Armesto and found their website . I'd be very surprised if anyone here has heard of it yet since, it seems, their website is newly on the internet.

Most hostels (called "hostales" in Spanish - and not to be confused with YOUTH hostels which are called "albergues juveniles") have an average guest of about 40 years old. Some hostels have even told me their average guests are about 50 years old. Out of curiosity, why do you think Hostal Armesto has older guests?

This place is well-located in Huertas too. That's my favorite area!

If you decide to stay here would you please return to this/your thread to give us your personal review? You'd be the first! Thanks very much and enjoy your visit to Madrid!

Saludos, MadridMan
