hi all! I showed the 1984 movie "la linea del cielo"/SKYLINE to my high school freshmen class today and it was a big hit! I didn't know what to expect, but they enjoyed it SO MUCH! I think the views of New York were great as a tribute to NY to end this crazy year. The movie ends with a view of the Twin Towers. My students all live in Manhattan and I think they really enjoyed the NY aspect of the film. They also loved the part of the Spaniard in the English class ..i guess they could relate to it! I just wanted to let other Spanish teachers that this film IS appropriate for the classroom( no sex, violence ,etc.) yet it kept their attention.
