If there's one thing I LOVE to buy, not only from Madrid, but all over Spain, it's those "pilas" or water fonts that many tend to hang on the wall for decoration. Even though they are little baptismal water fonts they really have lost their religious connotation.

If you go to the Sorolla museum in Madrid, you can view HIS collection of thousands of these beautiful pilas...and you 'll be able to see that every region of Spain has a different style.

Usually when I travel...I try to pick up a different one in every town I pass through.
